This project centered around the creation of a compact living unit measuring 12’ x 12’ x 12’, aiming to address the challenge of accommodating all household needs within a limited space.

    To optimize the usability of every cubic foot, a unique approach was taken by placing the cube on its edge. This design choice allowed for lower slanted edges, serving as storage space for residents and a dedicated area for bicycle storage. Meanwhile, the upper slanted edge was ingeniously utilized as sitting areas for the main floors.

    The cube incorporates natural ventilation and sunlight features that actively function throughout the day. Specifically, the slits on the sleeping side serve as a natural wake-up alarm for residents, while openings near the entrance facilitate air ventilation. This cohesive design not only maximizes functionality but also prioritizes the well-being and comfort of the inhabitants within this compact living space.
