Confetti Hostel
The objective of this project was to transform randomly placed programs, designed by different teams, into a cohesive hostel situated on a fictional site. The challenge involved connecting diverse shapes into a unified building. I opted for a forest setting with slightly uneven ground and introduced a fluid, dynamically shaped structure.
The building’s design aims to harmonize with the landscape and nature, creating an inviting space for forest explorers. The dynamic feeling is achieved through the use of mushroom-inspired forms. Mushrooms, known for their ability to grow in various forest conditions with minimal environmental requirements, spread their roots for miles underground. This is why I chose them as the inspiration for the project, contributing to the overall coherence and integration with the surrounding environment.
